Last year, officers of the Department of Health made visits to each EatSmart Restaurant; the officers advised them on the provision of EatSmart Dishes and the proper use of promotional materials; they also helped restaurants to create more delicious and diversified EatSmart Dishes. The visits received very positive feedback. The member restaurants were truly cooperative, for which we extend our sincerest gratitude to them. Since May this year, we have been launching the visits again; we seek to maintain good communications with the restaurants and improve the quality of EatSmart Dishes.

Meanwhile, EatSmart Restaurants should take note of the following requirements:

Offer at least five EatSmart Dishes (including "Dishes with more Fruit and Vegetables" and "3 Less" Dishes) in selected business hours every day.

Ensure the best use of promotional materials of the "EatSmart@restaurant.hk" Campaign so that customers can easily differentiate EatSmart Dishes. These include prominently displaying the decal of EatSmart Restaurant and sticking those EatSmart menu stickers on the menus.

Ensure that "Customer Opinion Forms" are available in the restaurant so that customers could make their comments.
