Ground Flaxseed and Chicken Breast Salad on Multi-Grain Sandwich

Feature

Flaxseed is a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acid, which can improve blood lipids. Chicken breast contains a lower level of fat than other meats but is rich in protein. It helps one feel full.

Ingredients to serve 1

Chicken breast

60 g

Ground flaxseed

8 g

Low-fat salad dressing

4 teaspoons

Romaine lettuce leaf

1

Tomato, sliced

1/2

Multi-grain sourdough bread

2 slices

 

Seasonings

Salt

1/5 teaspoon

 

Cooking Method

  1. Preheat the steamer to 65°C.
  2. Season the chicken breast with salt. Steam for about 20 minutes until thoroughly done. Let cool, then slice. Set aside.
  3. Mix the ground flaxseed and low-fat salad dressing. Add the chicken breast slices and mix well.
  4. Place the lettuce leaf and tomato slices on a slice of bread, and then spread the chicken breast over. Top with the other slice of bread and serve.
