Sleep well and exercise often - that's how you feel good
"Apart from healthy diet, adequate amount of sleep and regular exercise is important to health. Physical exercise is beneficial to my singing. I also enjoy the sensation of sweating. After a lot of sweating and a shower, I feel refreshed."
Jay keeps jogging for seven to eight km at a time, about three to four times a week. He has also formed a basketball team named VR1 with a few other young artistes. The team often visits schools for games; they even invite some outsiders to join them for winding down after work. The team has now expanded to a size of ten odd members. Despite the hectic schedule of each member, they still manage to practice two to four times a month. Besides, hiking is also one of Jay's favourite activity. "The best part of hiking is hitting the hill top finally. It is a wonderful feeling when you are embraced by the beauty of nature."
Hearty homey dishes - nutritious and healthy
Raised in Canada as he is, Jay is very fond of traditional Chinese food. As his father stayed in Hong Kong for work, it was his mother who took care of the three sons alone. "My mother, always cooked Chinese dishes at home. I'd say she cooked with her heart. Regular family dishes included 'steamed minced pork', 'stir-fried Chinese kale' and 'stir-fried tomato and scrambled eggs'; these dishes contained lots of vegetables and a little meat, which kept us healthy. My grandma was also a good cook and I miss her 'fried fish fillets with corn sauce' most, which was delicious and nutritious."
Jay went back to Hong Kong 3 years ago. Fortunately, his father cooks well too. His pork and vegetable dumplings are even more delicious than those available at restaurants.
