The Hospitality Industry Training and Development Centre and the Chinese Cuisine Training Institute, both members of the Vocational Training Council, understand the importance of healthy diet. We strongly support the principles of “3 less, 1 high” (i.e. “less oil, less salt, less sugar and high fibre” and therefore our curriculum covers topics on food nutrition and techniques of healthy cooking, hoping that our trainees will integrate this concept to their workplace upon graduation. The training restaurants run by The English Speaking Dining Society are the first to receive the EatSmart Restaurant decal from the Department of Health. To promote healthy dining, a variety of “3 Less” or “More Fruit and Vegetables” dishes are available for guests to choose from. Besides, all dishes are MSH (Monosodium Glutamate) free.
