Fruit Rolls in Rice Sheets Served with Rose Honey
Sylvia LAM, Chairlady of Hong Kong Dietitians Association, said "A dish like this, made with a great variety of fruits, is not only appetising; but also can provide numerous nutrients, like vitamins A, C and fibre. The dish is low in calories and thus most suitable for people on diet."
Ingredients (Serve 4):
Vietnamese rice paper rounds | 4 |
Water | Some |
Peppermint leaves | 4 |
Mango, seeded and sliced | 1 |
Strawberries, sliced | 4 |
Blueberries, halved | 40g |
Rose honey | Some |
Ingredients of Rose Honey :
Dried rose buds | 3g |
Honey | 1/2 cup |
Water | 1 tablespoon |
Cooking Method of Rose Honey:
1. | Heat the rose buds, honey and water over low heat for a while. |
2. | Let stand in room temperature for 20 minutes until the aroma of rose buds seeps into the liquid. Set aside to cool. |
Cooking Method:
1. | Soak the rice paper rounds in water until they are a bit soft. Drain and set aside. |
2. | Sprinkle the peppermint leaves on a rice paper, then spread out the mango, strawberries and blueberries on it. Roll it up. Serve with rose honey. |
