Pork Chops with Tomatoes and Onions
Ingredients (Serve 4):
Lean pork chops, boned | 400g |
Tomatoes | 2 (approx. 250g) |
Onion, medium | 1 (approx. 150g) |
Vegetable oil | 1 tablespoon |
Marinade:
Salt | 1/2 teaspoon |
Soy sauce | 1 teaspoon |
White pepper | a pinch |
Sugar | 1/2 teaspoon |
Corn starch | 1/2 teaspoon |
Egg white | 1 |
Thickening:
Soy sauce | 1/2 teaspoon |
Ketchup | 2 tablespoon |
Sesame oil | 1/2 teaspoon |
Sugar | 1 teaspoon |
Corn starch | 1 teaspoon |
Water | 3 tablespoon |
Cooking Method:
1. | Rinse and pat dry the pork chops. Pat with the back of a chopper and cut into small pieces. Leave to marinate for about 1/2 hour. |
2. | Rinse and cut the tomatoes into wedges. Skin and cut the onion into small pieces. |
3. | Heat 2/3 tablespoon of oil and fry the pork chops until golden. |
4. | Use the remaining oil to fry the onion. Add in tomatoes and the thickening sauce and cook gently. Add in the pork chops and stir-fry until done. |
