Chicken with Pear and Celtuce
Chicken is cooked in boiling water which is a healthy Cooking Method. Matching with many fruit and vegetables and cooking with less oil and salt, this dish fully satisfies with the "three low one high" healthy eating principal.
Ingredients (Serve 4):
Pear | 150 gm |
Celtuce | 200 gm |
Skinless Chicken Meat | 80 gm |
Canola oil | 3 teaspoons |
Egg White | 50gm |
Broth (chicken, pork) | 3 tablespoons |
Carrot (diced) | 10 gm |
Capsicum (diced) | 100 gm (as garnish) |
Seasonings:
Salt | 1/4 teaspoon |
Sugar | 1/2 teaspoon |
Light Soya Sauce | 2/3 teaspoon |
Starch water | some |
Cooking Method:
1. | Core pear and cut into slices. Set aside. |
2. | Slice chicken and marinate with light soya sauce. Then cook in boiling water and set aside. |
3. | Peel and slice celtuce. Stir-fry with pear. Season with salt and sugar. Transfer to a plate. |
4. | Heat oil in a wok, sauté egg white until done. Add broth, chicken, salt, sugar and carrots. Continue to sauté. |
5. | Thicken with starch water, pour over celtuce and pear. Garnish with capsicum and serve. |
