“EatSmart Restaurants For All!”

The Department of Health endeavours to promote the “EatSmart@restaurant.hk” Campaign on different platforms and various occasions. This time we set foot in the 46th Hong Kong Brands and Products Expo Fair to host cooking demonstrations in an event entitled “EatSmart Restaurants For All!”.

For the event, we picked up from many EatSmart Dishes two unique ones for demonstration; they were “Stuffed Prawn in Chicken Breast with Garden Herbs” and “Egg White and Pumpkin on Broccoli”, respectively from LSG Catering China Ltd. and Kwong Fat Restaurant. The demonstration, performed on 20 and 21 December, was well received.

During the demonstration, the audience paid close attention to every step and every move of the chefs. They were then given the chance to taste the dishes, after which they said that they would practise what they had just observed by cooking with less oil, less salt and less sugar.
