“Many restaurants use flavour enhancers and other additives in their dishes, so we prefer to have meals at home,” Jack said. Jack has observed that many parents are having problems in teaching children table manners, so he has arranged Jay to join the rest of the family at meals since she was six or seven months old.

Apart from vegetables, the WU family also eats plenty of fishes, as June and her father are both very fond of eating fish. They also use healthy cooking oils such as canola oil and olive oil. More importantly, June rented a small plot of farmland to grow vegetables two years ago and the family always has the privilege of eating “home-grown” Indian lettuce, broccoli and Chinese white cabbage.
