Be a Healthy Vegetarian
Many people choose to follow a vegetarian diet for religious, environmental and humanistic reasons, while some go on a vegetarian diet to try to lose weight. Many studies suggest that a vegetarian diet is helpful in reducing the risk of gastrointestinal and heart diseases. Ingrid KAN, a dietitian and a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, shares with you on how to achieve a healthy and balanced vegetarian diet.



  1. Vegan

    A diet which excludes all animals products and by-products including eggs and dairy. Some avoid certain plants such as garlic and spring onion.

  2. Lacto-vegetarian

    A diet which excludes all animals products and eggs with the exception of dairy products, for instance, milk and cheese.

  3. Lacto-ovo-vegetarian

    A diet which excludes all animal products with the exception of eggs and dairy.
