Steamed Egg White with Chicken and Vegetables
Skinless chicken meat and egg white are used as the main Ingredients, the fat content is thus reduced. Spinach, tomato and pumpkin are rich in dietary fibre. This colourful dish is both aromatic and tasty.
Ingredients (Serve 4):
Skinless Chicken Meat | 110 gm |
Pumpkin | 40 gm |
Spinach | 40 gm |
Tomato | 1 piece |
Canola oil | 1 teaspoon |
Egg White | 5 pieces |
Skimmed Milk | 1 teaspoon |
Starch | 1 teaspoon |
Carrot, Pumpkin, Chinese Flowering Cabbage | few slices |
Asparagus | 4 pieces |
Seasonings:
Salt | 1/4 teaspoon |
Sugar | 1/4 teaspoon |
Cooking Method:
1. | Dice skinless chicken meat and pumpkin. Finely chop spinach and tomato. Set aside. |
2. | Add chicken dices and canola oil into egg white and mix well. Steam till done. |
3. | To prepare spinach sauce, mix skimmed milk, starch, salt, sugar and finely chopped spinach well. Bring to a boil. |
4. | To prepare tomato sauce, add 1/3 of spinach sauce into finely chopped tomato and bring to a boil. Set aside. |
5. | To prepare pumpkin sauce, add another 1/3 of spinach sauce into pumpkin dices and bring to a boil. Set aside. |
6. | Pour spinach sauce, tomato sauce and pumpkin sauce over the steamed egg white. |
7. | Garnish with carrot, pumpkin, Chinese flowering cabbage and asparagus. Serve. |
